Stonework
Permeable Pavers

BACKGROUND The homeowners wanted a beautiful stone patio that would not increase the volume of stormwater runoff.

SITE SPECIFIC CONCERNS/GOALS The paving surface itself would need to be permeable in order to accommodate rainfall without increasing runoff.  Changes in site elevation meant that we would need to be careful about erosion.

SOLUTIONS We installed Chilton stone patio.  Stone joints between the Chilton slabs allowed water to flow through the stone surface.  An underlying bed of clean, washed granite was designed to be an adequate size for accommodating sormwater on the site.  The patio was installed with two tiers and wallstone to address the changes in elevation.
